westshore football
Football has been a big part of community sport in the greater Victoria area for over 30 years. In the Westshore we have the benefit of access to football at community, highschool and Junior levels.
During registration for the spring season in 2024, community football players will become part of the Westshore Football Association (WSFA). WSFA is a registered non-profit organization whose mission is to provide the youth of the Westshore communities an opportunity to benefit from the values of hard work, sportsmanship, teamwork and friendly competition through fun tackle football.
WSFA offers experienced trainers, referees, and coaches to cultivate a fun and positive football program during two seasons per year; Spring and Fall.
Each season we field ~75 players aged 8 - 14 within Westshore Warriors Atom, PeeWee and Junior Bantam teams.
Each player is a member of the BC Provincial Football Association, and Football Canada. Our teams practice twice a week and play weekend games with teams from Victoria, Saanich, the Cowichan Valley, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Parksville and Comox. In the spring season our teams compete for island championships, and in the fall season we compete for island championships and advancement to provincial level championships.
